Mrs. Johnson Dead
Mrs. John Johnson, nee Martha Elizabeth Bray, passed away at her home north of town, Friday, October 8th, 1920, aged 68 years 10 months and 16 days.
The funeral services were conducted by Elder R. A. Fuson at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Fayette, Sunday morning, October 10th, during which the following obituary was read.
Martha Elizabeth Bray, was born in Hendricks County, Indiana, Nov. 24, 1852. She was the daughter of Alfred and Margaret Bray.
She was united in marriage to John Johnson, March 26, 1874. To this union was born seven children, four of which have gone to the glory world. Three are living, Stella Wiley, Mertie Frazee and Ethel Johnson.
She was united with the Regular Baptist Church at Mt. Tabor in 1877, and membership she retained unto death.
