ISABELLE MARY ADAMS, 84, a former long time resident of Wood River, died Tuesday at 1:45 p.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, where she had been a patient following a fall July 10, in which she suffered a hip fracture.

Before entering the hospital she had been a patient in Alhambra Nursing Home and prior to that had made her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William N. Adams, 977 Old Oak Road, Rosewood Heights.

The former Isabelle McFetridge, she was born July 20, 1882, in Alton. Her home for a number of years was at 678 First St., Wood River.

She was a member of St. Bernard's Parish, Wood River, Royal Neighbors Lodge, and belonged to the Auxiliary of Hellrung Dad's Club.

Survivors are five sons, Nelson, Taylor, Mich.; William, Rosewood Heights; Shirley, Hammond, Ind.; Kenneth, Wood River; and James, Toledo, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Alice Lasbury, East Alton; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Annie Juneau, and two daughters preceded her in death.

The body is at Marks Mortuary where friends may call after 6 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church with the Rev. Father E.J. Douglas as celebrant of the Requiem Mass. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
