Services Scheduled Today for George Howard

Services will be held this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home for George Howard, 57, life-long resident of Pin Oak township area, who died Monday at the Veteran's Hospital in Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.

Burial will be in Hagler cemetery in Pin Oak Township.

George Howard was born in Pin Oak Township on March 19, 1896.

In addition to his wife [Florence (Valle) Heller Howard], he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Howard, Troy; seven brothers and sisters, Lee Howard, Marine, Gilbert Howard, Troy, Viola Hillebrand, Troy, Allen Howard, Worden, Lena Schalke, Hilsboro [sic], Kate Ledder, Hillsboro, and Ben Howard, Bloomington; one son, John Howard, Troy; eight stepchildren, Bernice Heller, Kenneth Heller, Ida Lee Heller, Betty Rose Heller, all of Troy, John Heller, Louisville, Kentucky, Ramona Buchanan, Louisville, Fern Heller, Collinsville, and Dixie Lee Potasky, Detroit. He is also survived by two grandchildren.
