CARENCRO ~ Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Mary Angelle, age 85, the former Mary Benoit, who passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.

Mrs. Angelle was a native of Carencro and a resident of Lafayette. She was employed in Sales of Home Interiors for 10 years. She was a loving mother, Grandmother, and enjoyed cooking for her family. Mrs. Angelle loved traveling with her husband and spending time at their camp together.

Survivors include five sons, Randal Angelle and his wife, Denise, Mark Angelle and his wife, Sharon, and Robert "Bobby" Angelle, all of Lafayette, Michael Angelle of Arnaudville, and Chris Angelle and his wife, Lesley, of Carencro; one daughter, Debra Keely of Rayne; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Angelle, Jr.; her parents, Arcade Benoit and Angelina Duplechain Benoit; two brothers, George Benoit and Andrew "Black" Benoit; and two sisters, Georgie Ancelet and Androla Chaisson.
