Rochester Bankrupt submits unique Schedule of Possessions.
Irving W. Briggs, Charles S. Briggs and William S. Briggs of Rochester, filed petitions in bankruptcy in the United States Circuit Court this morning. The petition of Irving W. Briggs depicts an unusual case of destitution in view of the amount of his debts. He swears that his debts amount to $22.409.82, while his property aggregates only $46.
Briggs gives a list of his personal effects as follows: Walking stick, 50 cents; working suit, $l; pair of cuff buttons, $1; umbrella, 50 cents; hand-kerchiefs, socks, etc., $3; six shirts with cuffs, $3; two pair shoes, $2; light suit, $10; suit with extra trousers, $25.

DEATH CLAIMS IRVING BRIGGS
Irving W. Briggs Sr., 72, of 350 Washington Ave., son of former Mayor Charles W. Briggs, died yesterday morning (Oct. 28, 1938) General Hospital after a brief illness.
Charles W. Briggs was mayor from 1871 to 1872, defeating Henry E. Rochester for the office.
Mr. Briggs was born in Rochester Sept. 5, 1866, and was one of the partners of the Briggs Brothers Seed Company, during its time one of the most widely known seed companies in the state. After the dissolution of this firm he became associated with the Hart & Vick Company, retiring from active business several years ago.
He was a member of the Florence Cadet Corps and Rochester Commercial Travelers.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. L. D. Dalney, Richmond, Calif.; Mrs. Allyn H. Barrett, Newport, R I., and Mrs. Howard N. Leass, Webster; one son, Irving W. Briggs Jr.; a brother, William Snyder Briggs, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from 182 East Ave. at 2 p. m. Monday. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.
