Edward Lee Bridges, 87, of Little Rock, died May 5, 2016 at the VA Hospital.

Born Feb. 3, 1929 in Cleveland County North Carolina, he was the son of Wiley and Sadie Rhodes Bridges.

He entered service at age 16 and spent 20 years in the United States Navy.
After retiring from the Navy, he worked for a vending company for 20 years.
He was a member of Bingham Road Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Glen, Joe and Samuel Bridges, and his sister, Gladys Adair, he is survived by a daughter, Tammy Davidson (Wayne) of Mabelvale; step daughter, Yvonnda Rochelle (James) of Little Rock; his sister, Iris Hardin of Forest City, NC: 3 granddaughters, Kayla Streeter (Tyler), Courtney Davidson, and Lenee Curtis (Sid); grandson, Jeremy Montgomery; 2 great-granddaughters, and one special friend, Diane Cooper.

Graveside services with full Military Honors will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, AR 72120 with Brother Roger Brown officiating.
