Estella Elma Duff, daughter of William and Althea Duff, was born in Minnesota, October 3, 1870, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. W. Thompson near Gage, Oklahoma, December 2, 1943, at the age of 73 years, 1 month and 29 days.

When a small child she moved with her parents to Monroe County, Iowa. On January 5, 1887 at Onawa, Iowa, she was united in marriage to John S. Beers. To this union three children were born. Edna Thompson, gage, Oklahoma; Elma Dowell and Mark Beers, both of Arnett, Oklahoma. In 1901 she moved with her husband and family to their homestead nine miles east of Arnett, where she resided until the last four years, which she spent with her daughter and family. In 1900 she was baptized into Christ by Elder Billy Coast and has lived a constant Christian since.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, a sister and two grandchildren. She is survived by the three children, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, other relatives and numerous friends who feel the separation greatly, as to know her was to love her.

Funeral services were conducted December 3 at the Church of Christ in Arnett by Elder Wilburn Hill of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and interment was made in the Harmon Cemetery.
