Funeral services for Curtis Ray Goodwin, 51, of 906 Texas street, who died at 4:30 a. m. yesterday, will be held at 5 o'clock this afternoon from the Southside Baptist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev.
L. W. Corder. Interment will follow in the Red Bank cemetery at Red Bank.A Columbia resident for the past 35 years, Mr. Goodwin was a foreman for Pacific Mills. He was a member of Southside Baptist church, a veteran of World War One.Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nannie A. Goodwin; two sons, Paul A. Goodwin and C. R. Goodwin, Jr., both of Columbia; one daughter, Miss Rachel Jaqueline Goodwin of Columbia; two brothers, George C. Goodwin and James Goodwin, both of Red Bank; six sisters, Mrs. Goldie Kyzer of Lexington, Mrs. Nettie Taylor of Lexington and Mrs. Hattie Taylor, Mrs. Ilene Alewine, Miss Mary Goodwin and Mrs. Nellie Mae Goodwin, all of Red Bank.Active pallbearers will be R. O. Hook, James Addy, Earl Corley, Harry Shealy, R. L. Garner and R. O. Odell.Honorary pallbearers will be the student nurses of the Baptist hospital.Active pallbearers are asked to meet at the residence at 4:30.
