Enlisted on 5/3/1864 as a Private.
On 5/25/1864 he mustered into "G" Co. IA 45th Infantry
He was Mustered Out on 9/16/1864 at Keokuk, IA
He also had service in: "K" Co. IA 2nd Cavalry (Also served)
One of the Detail of 6 that carried the last Flag of Truce to General Hood in Negotiations which ended with his Surrender in May of 1865.
b. 10-13-1846 in Zanesville, Ohio
d. 08-15-1927 in Clarinda, IOwa. Age 81
