His destination was his sister's home - Mrs. Bella Ross, 41 Vera Pl, Windsor, Ontario. His closest relation in Scotland was his Aunt - Mrs. Ann Lawson in Aberdeen.
He was in Detroit Michigan by April 1930 when he was listed as residing with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr & Mrs Jacob Ross. He married Jean Rippey on 23 May 1936 in Detroit, was head of household in the 1940 census and died of Labor Pneumonia on 7 Mar 1947 and was buried at Roseland Park Cemetery.
