Elva Rose, age 88, of College Corner, OH, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford. He was born March 9, 1927 in Estill County, KY to the late J.D. and Stella Rose. Elva was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during WWII; was a member of the Trinity Holiness Church, West College Corner, OH; and he retired from the Ford Motor Company.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter Sylvia Kindell; five brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rebecca A. Rose of College Corner, OH; son-in-law Rex Kindell of Tipp City, OH; grandchildren Nathaniel Kindell and Emily Kindell both of Tipp City, OH; sisters Freda Ramsey and Lilly Todd both of Fairfield, OH; brother William L. Rose of Irvine, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 11:00 am until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Trinity Holiness Church, 200 Indiana Street, West College Corner, IN 47003 with Pastor Britt Hensley officiating. Burial follow at College Corner Cemetery. Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, Eaton, OH is assisting with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be sent to the church.
