In the early 1960s, she appeared on Broadway in several plays and starred in "Kitty, I Hardly Knew You" and sang in several nightclubs. She eventually married acting coach Burton Lane and gave birth to a daughter, actress Diane Lane, before divorcing in 1965. Farrington, who would later remarry and launch a career as an interior designer, died in hospice care.
