Leo Farrington, 76 of Nokomis, Fla., a building contractor, in Iowa City for 45 years, died Tuesday at Venice, Fla., following a lengthy illness. Services will be Monday at the George L. Gay Funeral Home where friends may call after noon on Sunday. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
He was born April 18, 1889, at Nevada, to James and Jessie White Farrington. In 1924 he married Opal Godlove. He retired in 1961 and moved to Florida in 1970.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Bidwell, of Fort Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, James, of North Liberty; and a sister, Mrs. Alberta Edwards, of Muscatine.
One brother and two sisters died earlier.
