Henry Sult, an aged resident of Gilman, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.S. Darrah, at Gilman Friday afternoon of infirmities due to his advance years. Mr. Sult, who was 78 years of age, had made his home in Jasper and Marshall counties for forty-seven years.
Mr. Sult was born in Marion County, Ohio, February 15, 1841. He came west, settling in Jasper county in 1872, and had since made his home in that county and at Gilman. He was united in marriage August 28, 1862, with Susie R. Benedict, who died February 25, 1912. Seven children were born to them, four of whom survive in the persons of Dr. W.F. Sult and Mrs. Darrah, of Gilman; Mrs. Minnie Fitzgerald of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Clinton Sult, of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Three sons have died; John, who died Oct. 16, 1897; Samuel, Sept 17, 1867; and Dorr, April 3, 1909.
Funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Darrah, Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Lippincott, of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in the Gilman cemetery.
