Mittie Ruth Peoples, 82 of Ardmore, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, September 23 2015 at the Lakeland Manor, Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was born on December 4, 1932 in Mead, Oklahoma to the late Claude Thomas Muncrief and Alice Pierce Muncrief. Mittie was raised in Madill where she attended the Madill Schools. She married Carl Edward Peoples on December 16, 1950 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2003. Mittie moved to Mannsville, Oklahoma where she lived for over 30 years. She worked as a nurse at the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in Ardmore and the Johnston Memorial Hospital in Tishomingo. Mittie was a member of the Mannsville Assembly of God, Baum Assembly of God and the Crystal Rock Cathedral in Ardmore. She enjoyed singing, taking care of others and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mittie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers; Clifford, E. C. and R. G. (Dean) Muncrief.
