Alvin's granddaughter, Lori, wrote to me. They were so very happy to see their loved one's marker on FindAGrave. Lori's mother was only 3 months old when her father Alvin died. He drowned in the Chattahoochee River. After his death, the family lost touch with Alvin's side of the family. Alvin's daughter is unable to travel into Atlanta and due to the condition of the cemetery, get to the gravesite. Due to the number of years, she wasn't sure anymore where his grave was, either
_________
Lori, above and Christy, who left flowers are sisters and granddaughters of Alvin. Pat is the 3 month old baby (above) and she is their mother. (Lori Jackson Coker - [email protected])

If you are kin to this family please contact Christy or you can contact me and I will get in touch with her. Pat is now in her seventies and her daughters would like to find out about this side of their mother's family. We would appreciate anything you can do to help.

Judy, I always love it when I open a memorial that has your name on it. I was looking at Alvin's memorial today and have info you might want to put in the bio. His parents were Vernon M Clower, b. July 1882 in Tennessee and d. 19 July 1959 in Fulton Co., Georgia. His mother was Jennie H Shiflet, b. Nov 1871 in Georgia and d. Fulton Co., Georgia. This is correct, she was 11 years older than Vernon. I have looked everywhere for their graves, all to no avail. There is a possibility they are buried in Hollywood Cemetery in an unmarked grave. Contact me If I can answer any other questions. Sent by [email protected]
