On July 7, 1999 in Fort McMurray, Alberta, WILLIAM FLOYD YORGASON passed away at the age of 76 years of cancer.

In Granum Alberta Laura and Nels Hollis Yorgason proudly announced the birth of their first son William Floyd Yorgason on May 10, 1923. He attended school in Granum and at the age of 20 entered the Royal Canadian Airforce as an air frame mechanic, travelling Canada from coast to coast until the end of the war at which time he returned to Granum. In 1955 Floyd joined the Army Emergency Peacekeeping Corp and travelled to Egypt for a year.

He married his teenage sweetheart, Flora Mae McIlvride (Flossie Campbell) on November 9, 1968 in Fort Macleod, Alberta and became an instant father of six.

Floyd enjoyed camping, fishing and school functions with his new family and resided in Fort Macleod until 1995 at which time he moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta.

He was predeceased by his parents Laura and Nels Yorgason, two sisters Leola Pole and Laura Baird; his wife Flossie in 1987 and one grandson Bradley James Hurd in 1980
