Paul C. Anderson, 85, Fertile, MN, passed away Thursday April 30th, 2015 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, after a brief illness.

Paul was born February 25, 1930, at Crookston, MN. His parents were M.O. “Oscar” and Selma (Johnson) Anderson. He grew up on a farm and attended school in Fertile and later attained his GED. He also attended technical school before serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Japan for part of his service. He was honorably discharged and returned home.

Paul married Beatrice Locken on December 15, 1963, and they resided on a farm near Fertile where they raised their three children. He farmed for many years and also worked in construction. Paul was known to be mechanically talented and innovative. Among other things, he built a boat and camper trailer. Paul was a long time member of Faaberg Lutheran Church. He was a quiet, intelligent person, who also participated in some friendly teasing. He enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing, especially in the later years when his grandchildren would join him. Paul always looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed their company.

Paul is survived by his wife, Beatrice, one son, Eric (Lisa); two daughters, Beth (Mike) Gray and Sharon (Paul) Powers; nine grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Tessman, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Merten and Carsten; and two sisters, Irene Anderson and Margaret Thornton.

Burial: Faaberg Lutheran Cemetery, Rindal, MN.
