M. Rosalie Givens, age 78 of Paris, Illinois, passed away at 8:47 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 in Paris Community Hospital, Emergency Room. She was a legal secretary for Massey, Anderson and Gibson and was a Deputy Tax Assessor. She was a member of Horace Baptist Church.
Rosalie was born February 19, 1934 in Paris, Illinois to the late Charles William and Myrtle Irene (Bishop) Perry. She married Frank Givens December 8, 1951 in Paris, Illinois and he survives.
Other survivors include a daughter Mildred Lynn Renner of Paris, Illinois, three sons; Michael Allen (Betty J.) Givens of Paris, Illinois, David Lee (Margie) Givens of Ankeny, Iowa, and William O. (Nancy A.) Givens of West Des Moines, Iowa, two sisters, Mary Cash of Vermilion, Illinois and Cathy Melendez of Paris, Illinois, and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter Laura Givens.
Public visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2012 in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Private funeral services are planned. Private burial will be in Edgar Cemetery.
