Rexford Bressie Anderson
Rexford Bressie Anderson died suddenly at the age of 78 in mid-January in Houston.
As per his requests, no service was held and his ashes were scattered in the Gulf of Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Andrew Anderson, his mother, Frances Bressie Anderson, and his brother, Christopher Mayo Anderson.
He is survived by his sister, Gloria Jean Guinn, his friends, and his numerous nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Rex grew up on a farm near Ponca City, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Psychology. He served two years with the U.S. Army.
Rex Anderson is best known for his four mystery books published in hardback: Lawnmower Blues, My Dead Brother, Night Calls, and Cover Her With Roses. A prolific writer, he also penned numerous short stories and novellas, many in his other favorite genre: science fiction.
