ERB, Mabel Passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at K-W Health Centre, Freeport Hospital. Mabel resided in New Hamburg and was born 85 years ago in Wilmot Township. She was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Jutzi) Kelly. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Erb who predeceased her May 31, 1992. Loving mother of Peter and Joyce Erb of Bowmanville, Rodney and Cheryl Erb, Bonnie and Ron Roth, Boyd and Donna Erb all of R.R. # 1 Millbank, Rebecca and Warren Diemert of Waterloo, Faye and Keith Schultz of R.R. # 1 Milverton, Tony and Cindy Erb of Elmira. Sadly missed by her 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Calvin Kelly, Albert and Marg Kelly, Melvin Kelly, John and Ruth Ann Kelly, Otto Mallon and Marie Leis. Mabel was predeceased by a daughter Mary Elizabeth in 1952, sisters Esther in infancy, Salome Mallon, brothers-in-law Ervin and Erma Erb, Gordon Leis, sisters-in-law Eunice Kelly, Freida and John Erb and Mary Erb. Mabel was a member of Hillcrest Mennonite Church, New Hamburg where she was a member of the WMSC and also a member of the Haysville Sunshine Club. Mabel volunteered at the New Hamburg Thrift Store and Grand River Hospital for many years. Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The interment will take place prior to the funeral service on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the 19th Line East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery. The funeral service to celebrate Mabel’s life will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Mennonite Church, New Hamburg with Pastor Jan Steckley and Pastor Kevin Peters Unrau officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Hillcrest Mennonite Church (Mennonite Women) or Toronto Sick Children’s Hospital (Stroke Unit).
