Velverd Mervis "Joe" Bailey, 85, of Gallatin, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at the Cameron, Mo., hospital.
Mr. Bailey was a carpenter.
Born in Gilmer, Texas, on Sept 27, 1914, he had lived in Norman, Okla. He was a resident of a health-care center in Gallatin.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Trenton, Mo.
Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton A. and Mary N.E.
Surviving: a son, Jerry, Jamesport; two daughters; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
The burial was Dec. 29, at the Jamesport Memorial Cemetery. There was no funeral service.
