Obituary from unnamed Bandon, Oregon newspaper, July 15, 1913:
Death of Mrs. Mickle.
Mrs. E.D. Mickle from Topeka, Kansas died at Marshfield last Saturday and was buried in the K.P. cemetery at Bandon yesterday.
Deceased was the mother of Mrs. Syndney [sic] Croft, who is the daughter-in-law of Mr. Edmund Croft of Bandon. Mrs. Mickel [sic] took sick some six months ago and decided that a trip west would benefit her health. In company with her son, Mr. Mickel [sic] of Topeka, and daughter, Mrs. Sydney Croft, she left Topeka June 18th. At Portland she had declined so much that it was necessary to remain at hospital for 10 days before resuming the journey to Bandon. The party were on their way to the home of Sydney Croft whose uncle is near Langlois.
Mrs. Mickle was much worse when she reached Marshfield and died Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Her remains were brought to Bandon Monday on the Coquille and the funeral services were held at the Bandon undertaking parlors.
