Estella was married 3 times: First to Jacob Mickle. She and Jacob had 4 children, Jesse Griffith, Son - William M., Ida M. (Mickle) Croft and Harry. She married William C. Hartley 2/24/1874 in Illinois but nothing is known about him. She married John T. Mandeville 6/10/1880 in Illinois and it is presumed he died before Estella as he was 30 years her senior.

Obituary from unnamed Bandon, Oregon newspaper, July 15, 1913:

Death of Mrs. Mickle.

Mrs. E.D. Mickle from Topeka, Kansas died at Marshfield last Saturday and was buried in the K.P. cemetery at Bandon yesterday.

Deceased was the mother of Mrs. Syndney [sic] Croft, who is the daughter-in-law of Mr. Edmund Croft of Bandon. Mrs. Mickel [sic] took sick some six months ago and decided that a trip west would benefit her health. In company with her son, Mr. Mickel [sic] of Topeka, and daughter, Mrs. Sydney Croft, she left Topeka June 18th. At Portland she had declined so much that it was necessary to remain at hospital for 10 days before resuming the journey to Bandon. The party were on their way to the home of Sydney Croft whose uncle is near Langlois.

Mrs. Mickle was much worse when she reached Marshfield and died Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Her remains were brought to Bandon Monday on the Coquille and the funeral services were held at the Bandon undertaking parlors.

Obituary from Topeka State Journal, 15 July 1913:

Word has been received here from Marshfield, Ore., of the death of Mrs. E.D. Mickell [sic]. She was the mother of Harry and William Mickell of Topeka. Mrs. Mickell lived with her son, Harry Mickell, 307 Kansas avenue. She died while en route to Brandon, Ore., to visit her daughter. Interment in Brandon. [Marshfield is the name for an area of Coos Bay. "Brandon" is probably Bandon, Oregon. the name is mispelled as Mickell throughout the article.]
