Arnold D. Almond
Visitationis is scheduled until 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m Wednesday at Alexander's Pyramid Funeral Home, Sparks, for Arnold Dale Almond, 54, of Sparks, who died Sunday in a Reno hospital.
A native of South Dakota, he was born Jan. 30, 1925, and had been a longtime resident of the area.
Arnold was the founder of Arnold's Coiffures and developed the Silver State Beauty College in Sparks.
He was a member of the State Board of Cosmotology for eight years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints where he served as athletic director in Boy Scouts, Mutual and ward bishopric.
Surviving are his widow, Rosalie, sons, Dale and Bill, daughters, Natalie, Tracie and Brenda Almond and Laura Laramie all of Sparks; daughter, Peggy Hansen of Tremonton, Utah, four brothers and two sisters.
A funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the LDS Chapel on Rock Boulevard with burial iat the Mountain View Cemetery.
