Louisa was married to Absalom Reid from about 1818 until his death in 1846. They had 12 children, all born in Alabama. The youngest, Andrew was born in Choctaw County, while they were migrating to Jasper Co., MS in 1842. Louisa was 42 years old when Andrew was born. She later married Samuel Rowell in 1851. Samuel Rowell died in 1857 at the age of 81 years. In later Census records she listed her name as Louisa Reid. She died while living with her son Elle Reid in Clarke County, MS. She is probably buried in Salem Cemetery. Her grave is unmarked.
