RUBY FRANCESE MARRA, 78, of TOMS RIVER, died peacefully Thursday, March 23, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in the Silver Lake section of Belleville, she lived in Halcyon Park, Bloomfield from 1952 until 1983 when she moved to Toms River. She worked for many years as a check processor for Midlantic National Bank, West Orange and Ocean National Bank, Point Pleasant Beach. She was the co-owner of Ocean Stone and Stucco, Toms River and retired in 1990. She was a communicant of St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clement and Antoinette Ippolito Francese. Surviving are her devoted husband of 58 years, Frank C. Marra Sr.; and her loving children, Marlene and Michael Bober, Frank and Janyce Marra, Gerard and Robin Marra, and Karen and Robert Zimmerman. She was the beloved grandmother of Michael, Elizabeth, Mark, Dana, Maureen, Frank, Stephanie, Nicholas, Lauren, Chelsea, Travis, and Brooke. She was the dear sister of Anthony and Rosina Francese of Somerset, and Sam and Ceil Francese of San Juan Capistrano, Calif. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who will remember her generosity, kindness and hospitality.
Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2492 Church Road, Toms River. The funeral will be Tuesday; arrive at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Justin Roman Catholic Church, Toms River. Interment will be at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Van Dyke Hospice, 99 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08753, would be appreciated.
