Her mother died when she was a small child and she was raised by Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Cully.
Attended the Brown's Business College and Normal University. Taught school in Morgan county for about five years.
Survived by her father, L. L. Ticknor, Winchester, IL; three sisters: Mrs. Florence Fearneyhough, Lynnville, IL; Mrs. Blanche Allan, Riggston, IL; and Mrs. Mervyn Harvey, Pasadena, CA; one brother, Irvin Ticknor, Fresno, CA; and two Uncles: Elmer Ticknor, Quincy, IL, and Harry M. Ticknor, California.
