Brent, Robert “Bob” C., passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014. Born August 13, 1921 in El Dorado, KS to Robert L. Brent and Grace Hammer Brent. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Juanita Brent Brenton; brother-in-law, W.O. Brenton; brother, Eugene H. Brent; infant son, Christopher. He leaves behind a wife of 71 years, Frances Sullivan Brent; son, Gregory, and spouse, Frances; son, Daniel, and spouse, Pat; daughter, Robin, and spouse, Larry Andersen; daughter, Laurie, and spouse, Max Tillman; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; many nieces and nephews. Robert was a LT Commander naval transport pilot during WWII in the Pacific Theater; later he flew for United Airlines. He retired from Wheeler, Kelley, Hagney Insurance in 1987. He was greatly loved by his family. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 16, 2014, at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 E. Grand, Wichita, KS 67218. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials have been established with: The Lord’s Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214; The Center of Hope, 400 N. Emporia, Wichita, KS 67202.
