Arie G. Roos, 76, of Hospers died Tuesday, July 26, in a hospital in Sheldon. Services were at l:30 p.m. Friday, July 29, at First Reformed Church in Hospers. Burial was in Hospers Cemetery.
Roos was born November 19, 1911, in Hospers. He married Bernice Vos March 5, 1941, at rural Sheldon. The couple farmed near Hospers until 1970 when they moved into town. They served as custodians at First Reformed Church until 1981. He was a member of First Reformed Church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Harriet, Phyllis and Linda; three brothers, Sander, Dick and John; two sisters, Jeanette and Esther; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
