Sander Roos was born May 30, 1910 to Gerrit and Hattie Roos at Hospers, Iowa. He married Angelina Langstraat on February 21, 1936. They farmed in Iowa until March 1941. They moved to Minnesota and farmed south of Chandler until 1974, remaining on the farm until moving to town in July, 1990.
Sander entered the Good Samaritan Village in Pipestone, Minnesota in September, 1990. He remained there until his death May 6, 1991. He was 80 years, 11 months and 5 days when he went to be with the Lord, after a lingering illness of cancer.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Angelina, and children: Gladys Bodewitz of Calif.; Henry of Calif.; Helene Wakeman of Hawarden, Iowa; Alex of Marshall, Minn.; Alvina Pool of Calif.; and Larry of Pipestone, Minn.; 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Dick of Sheldon, Iowa and John of Primghar, Iowa and 1 sister Esther Van Meeteren of Sheldon, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 3 sisters, his parents and an infant daughter.
