CLAIRE E. KIMM

Claire Kimm 83, left this earthly life and entered her heavenly home into the presence of her Savior on Dec. 5, 2013 after a brief illness. She was a child of God saved by grace. Claire was born March 8, 1930, the second of twelve children to Harry and Edith (Alberda) Leep in Bozeman. She spent her childhood on the family farm and attended Little Holland school through the eighth grade. She worked at various jobs including the Churchill store where she met Alex Kimm. They were married on Nov. 16,1954. Together they loved and served their Lord as they raised their family and farmed in the Gallatin Valley until Alex's death in 1998. Claire found joy in her calling as wife, mother and homemaker with a special gift of hospitality as she welcomed many into their home.

She is survived by her children, Dianne Kimm of Billings, Eunice Kimm of Grand Rapids, Mich., Jay Kimm, Harve and Gretchen Kimm, Tom and Denise Kimm all of Manhattan; grandchildren, Riley Kimm, Kelsie and James Rowenhorst, Tony Dishon, Stephanie and Brandon Tofte and Reece Kramer; great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Brantley and Audrey Tofte and Blaiz Dishon. She was also eagerly anticipating the birth of her next great grandchild, baby Rowenhorst, due in February.

Claire is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Arla Leep, Willard and Fran Leep, Arlene Blake, Betty Folkersma, Don and Lois Morren, Roger and MaryAnn Van Dyken, John and Dorothy Kinna, Eldon and Sheri Leep and Jerry and Linda Leep. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Alex; her sister, Carolyn; and her brothers, Andrew and David; and brothers- and sisters-in-law Bill Blake, Ed Folkersma, Lemina and Leonard Knottnerus, Alvin Douma and Correy Kimm.

Claire's desire was to bring glory to God which led her to serve in ministry through many church and community organizations. Especially dear to her heart were Right to Life, Pregnancy Caring Center (now Zoe), and Prison Ministries. She was an active member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church. Her life was lived out of gratitude for the amazing grace of God shown to her. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."
