DAVID LEEP (1952 - 2009)
Obituary

David Leep, of Mt. Vernon, Washington, our beloved father, brother, uncle and friend, was taken from this life to his heavenly home through a tragic accident while working, on December 12, 2009.

David was the youngest of twelve children born to Harry and Edith (Alberda) Leep on November 16, 1952 in Manhattan, Montana. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Manhattan Christian School in 1971.

God blessed David with a gifted mind and hands and a compassionate heart which he used in many areas of work and service.

On December 18, 1975, he married Linda Van Dyke and later they moved to Mt. Vernon, Washington where he spent the remainder of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a dear sister, Carolyn; two brothers-in-law, Alex Kimm and Edward Folkersma.

David is survived by his daughter, Jaimee (James) Dvorak; Papa's precious grandson, Noah Dvorak; his son, Grant (Allison) Leep; and Linda, the mother of his children, all of Washington. Also surviving are four brothers, Andrew (Arla), Willard (Fran), Eldon (Shari), Jerry (Linda); and six sisters, Claire Kimm, Arlene (Bill) Blake, Betty Folkersma, Lois (Don) Morren, MaryAnn (Roger) Van Dyken, and Dorothy (John) Kinna. He was a special uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a friend to all he met.

He is laid to rest in the Hills Cemetery, Manhattan, Montana, and we who remain will go on with thankful hearts for many precious memories. With Job we say, "The Lord has given, the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord."

Visitation at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service in Bozeman, Montana will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2009. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2009 in the Hills Cemetery. Memorial Services will follow at 11 a.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church.

Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity.

Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., Anacortes, WA and the San Juan Islands. To share memories of David, please sign the online guest register at www.evanschapel.com.
