Mrs. C. Reynolds Dies at Home of Son in Rushford
Mrs. Carrie Reynolds of Rushford passed away at the home of her son, John Reynolds, Monday, February 6, after a long illness. She was 95 years old.
Carrie Gardner was born in Portville on December 10, 1854. She and Mr. Reynolds were married in 1875. Eight children were born to them.
Besides the son above mentioned, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Marsh of Cuba and Mrs. Ida Rock of Belfast, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the home on Thursday afternoon at two o’clock, conducted by the Rev. David Williams. Burial was at the Belfast Cemetery.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Elizabeth Marsh and son of Cuba; Mrs. Ida Rock, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rock of Belfast; Mae Coon, Kate and Mary Rock and Pat Metz of Belfast; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Estabrook of Bliss; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marsh of Black Creek; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Marsh and Wilma of Buffalo; Mrs. Colony Campbell of Friendship; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wolfer of Cuba; Mr. and Mrs. William Gilbert and son of Franklinville; Mark Gilbert, Centerville.
