Betty Jean McEntire Crossley - Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grand-mother passed away 3 June 2005
in her home. She was born 12 Feb 1929 in Ogden, UT, she was the sixth child of Marshall A. & Amy Taylor McEntire of Clearfield, UT.
Betty was raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from East High School. She attended the University of Utah and worked briefly for Bearing Servce Co. before her marriage to John (Jack) Hammon Crossley of Salt Lake City on
Feb 24,1949.
Jack served a career in the U.S. Navy and as a Navy wife followed her husband to Bremerton, WA. Grand Junction, CO,
Albuquerque, NM, Memphis, TN, San Diego, CA, Lemoore, CA, and back to San Diego, where they retired.
Betty was active member of the LDS Church and served in many poitiona. Her greatest passions in life were her family & quilting. She was a member of the Golden Thimble Quilters, Seasde Quilters Guild. Member of DUP and with cummunity service at the SD election polls pools & Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her husband John (Jack) H. Crossley
of San Diego, three children, Jean (David) Sanders of Hemet, CA, Kenneth (Lorraine) Crossley of Spanish Fork, UT and Dale (Shelly) of Nampa, ID.
Betty had 11 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild who were
the delight of her life. Christopher (Joanne), Jonathon, Brian, & Jamie (Joshua) Zanola, children of Jean & David.
Carren, Scott (Lorilynn) Kendall, Dallin and Janna Crossley children of Ken & Lorainne. Andrew and Amy Crossley are children of Dale & Shelly Crossley.
Her g granddaughter,Jocelynn Zanola is Jamie's daughter. She was proceeded in death by her parents & her siblings. Eldon, Mabel,Maureen, Virginia & Marshall.
Betty's influence in lives of her family. friends and assoociates was immeasurable. Her absence will leave a
permanent void in the lives of all that loved and knew her.
