Funeral Services for Curtis Richard Reid, 66, of Lamesa will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at First Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. with Kalith Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Branon Funeral Home on Tuesday April 8, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. Richard passed away on Saturday April 5, 2014 in Lubbock. He was born on January 8, 1948 in Lamesa, Texas to Curtis Brady and Lucille (Lowrance) Reid. He married Beverly Diane Singleton on June 7, 1968. Richard loved farming and his hobbies included shooting guns, hunting and sports; especially when his kids and grandkids were involved. He loved the Emmaus community and being involved with the Lamesa Independent School district. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Diane Reid of Lamesa, Texas; children, Shannon Reid, and Cody Reid both of Lamesa; grandchildren, Macy Blair and Vance Blair; two sisters, Ann Henson of San Angelo, and Norma Wood of Austin, Tx.
