Biography

Southbridge: Lucien J. Dupuis, 77, of Worcester St., died Thursday, April 12th, in the Overlook Masonic Health Care Center, Charlton, after an illness.
His wife, Louise S. (Renna) Dupuis, died in 1999. He leaves three sons, Brian J. Dupuis and his wife Barbara of Southbridge, Kevin J. Dupuis and his wife Lou Ann of Southbridge and Dana A. Dupuis and his wife Linda of East Longmeadow; a daughter, Tammy Edmonds and her husband Robert of Southbridge; a brother, Robert Dupuis of Southbridge; a sister, Simone Boudreau of Southbridge; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his special companion, his dog "Lady". He was predeceased by two brothers, Leodore "Zling" Dupuis and Gerard Dupuis and two sisters, Lorraine Gauthier and Theresa DiTomasso. He was born in Southbridge the son of Theophile and Clarinda (Lavallee) Dupuis.
Lucien worked at D & D Welding and Salvage for over 30 years retiring several years ago. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus DeTriana Council 199 in Southbridge. He was an avid gardener, fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed cooking and donating his time and talents to many groups, family and friends.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 17th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 10:00am in St. Mary's Church, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Southbridge. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Monday, April 16th, from 5:00 to 8:00pm
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Mary's Church Building Fund, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge, MA 01550.
