OBITUARY :
MR. LORENZO E. "BEN" CRILLEY, 77, of 11175 Bailey Spring Road, Waynesboro, died Saturday afternoon, July 19, 2014 in his home.
Born June 28, 1937 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Clarence B. Crilley, Sr. and Lulu (Yingling) Crilley. He was a lifelong resident of the Waynesboro area.
He and his wife, the late JoAnn B. (Helser) Crilley, were married on August 11, 1978 in Hagerstown, MD. Mr. Crilley has lived at his present residence since 1953. Mrs. Crilley died on January 18, 2002.
Mr. Crilley worked at the Gettysburg Shoe Factory and later was a machine operator at the Kinney Shoe Company, Fairfield, PA. He retired on disability in 1972.
He was a member of Calvary Chapel and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jean Crilley of Waynesboro; his step-daughter Julie Lehman of Waynesboro; his step-son, Tim Helser of Cascade, MD; four step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Fern Pryor of Waynesboro, Henrietta Rowe of Waynesboro, and Mary Menges of Hanover; two brothers, Clarence B. Crilley, Jr. of Zullinger, PA and Stanley Crilley of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda Byers and Gladys Kriner; and one half-brother, William Haugh.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in Green Hill Cemetery, 953 S. Potomac Street, Waynesboro, with Rev. Eugene Cline officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Calvary Chapel, 13318 Mentzer Gap Rd., Waynesboro, PA 17268.
