He had married the widowed, Lola Lee Carter Grisso, of Pickshin, Raleigh County, in 1935. They resided at Persinger, in Summers County, West Virginia. Later Albert and Lola, moved to Sarton, and resided in Monroe County.
When Albert died by the hit and run, the police did an investigation. Dad, Walton Walter Weikle, had a vehicle and was up at Sarton and the police looked over his vehicle and tire tracks. They were not a match. We have never known what or who was the driver of a vehicle that killed Uncle Albert, other than it occurred near Johnson Crossroads area.
In all probability Albert was high on Moonshine or it was a moonshine purchase that went bad and resulted in Albert being ran over and killed.
