Goldie Mae Poplin, 76, of Piedmont, passed away June 9, 2012. She was born December 14, 1935 in Luther, Oklahoma to John and Cora Clark.
Goldie had been employed by Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond for the past 30 + years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children: Janice and the late Dennis Mills of Piedmont, Okla., Eddie and Jana Farrell of Okemah, Okla., and Robbie and Steve Dannehl of Norman, Okla. Grandchildren: Angie and Bobby Holcomb of Oklahoma City, Mark and Tara Dannehl of Dallas, Texas, Heather and Keith Giggers of Piedmont, Ok., Joyce and Cody Leach of Guthrie, Ok., Jaclynn Farrell and fiancé Anthony O'Neill of Oklahoma City. Also, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and one surviving brother, Glen Clark.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John Henry and Cora Mae Clark and 8 siblings.
Goldie loved the Lord, her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all. She loved the outdoors, fishing and especially loved those yard sales.
Memorial Services held Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Gracelawn Cemetery.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Goldie's extended loving Oklahoma Christian University family for all the joy they've brought to her for so many years.
