She was born March 3, 1917, in Morrilton, Ark., the daughter of Claude and Annie (Tollison) Beeson.
Lucille was united in marriage to Noble Wayne Cole on Feb. 22, 1939, in Jackson, Mo., and together they shared more than 26 years of marriage until his death came Oct. 13, 1965.
Her working career was with Baptist Book Store of Carterville for 25 years until her retirement in 1989.
She was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church of Marion, teaching Sunday school, was a Sunbeam leader, Bible study leader, helped with Bible school and was the church librarian for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Barbara Winesburg, in 2001; grandson, David Cole; infant granddaughter, Sally Cole; four sisters, Beatrice Cole, Reba Beeson, Pauline Westcoat and Betty Gary; and three brothers, Emmitt, W.T. and Cecil Beeson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, in First Baptist Church in Marion, with Dr. Bob Dickerson presiding. Interment will be next to her husband in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today in Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home and after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
