Lucinda May Thurston Nilson, age 83, returned to her Heavenly Father on September 28, 2013 at her home in Taylorsville.

She was born March 22, 1930 in Hyde Park, Utah. She was the daughter of Stephen James and Ethlyn Wood Thurston. She was the second of three children.

Lucinda graduated from North Cache High School and attended Utah State University.

She married Kay M. Nilson in the Logan Temple on August 3, 1949. They have six children, five sons and one daughter. They have lived in Utah, Wyoming, Illinois, Kentucky, Nebraska, Vermont, New York, California, and Arizona. She traveled worldwide with her husband.
