"Mrs. Annie Wood Deyoe, former area school teacher, died Friday at her home on Park Ave. She was born in Easton 81 years ago and had resided in Stillwater for 38 years. She was the widow of Webster Deyoe and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Wood of Easton.

She was a school teacher in several of the district schools of this area until her marriage, Oct 4, 1900, when she came to Stillwater. Mrs. Deyoe and her husband operated the grocery store on Hudson Ave which was formerly operated by Mr. Deyoe's father, Chauncey A. Deyoe.

She was a charter member of the Village Improvement Society. Survivors are several nieces and nephews, Mrs. E. Owen Hodder, Greenwich; Mrs. Albert R. Hillman, Glens Falls; Mrs. Olin Brownell, Easton; Mrs. Henry Crosby, Dryden; Dwelle Hoag, Honolulu, Hawaii; and Meredith W. Hoag, Greenwich.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 pm at the Dunn Funeral Home, Hudson Ave, Stillwater. Rev. Joseph Stanley, pastor of the Stillwater United Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Stillwater Union Cemetery."
