She was born on April 1, 1923 in Cleveland County to Crowder Garmon and Lila Minnie Lovelace Davis.
She was a graduate of Bethware High School.
Dorothy was a member of Waco Baptist Church where she faithfully served in the nursery and the pre-school Sunday school class for nearly 50 years.
She was a very talented seamstress who sewed clothing and quilts for family and friends in the community.
Dorothy enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, farming, and caring for her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence T. Grigg; son, James Grigg; brothers, Franklin, Herschel, Norman, and Glenn Davis; sisters, Rachel Costner, Eunice Horn, and Sylvia Grigg; granddaughter, April Grigg Hewitt; and son-in-law, Ralph Gardner.
Burial : Capernaum Cemetery.
