Mrs. Young, 70, of Holdrege died Wednesday, February 12, 1992 at the hospital in Holdrege.
She was born on January 6, 1922 south of Wilcox, Nebraska, the eldest of three children of Ernest and Louise (Kahle) Schubert. She was baptized on February 5, 1922 and confirmed in the St. John's Lutheran Church south of Wilcox. She graduated from the Wilcox High School with the class of 1939.
On June 2, 1946 she was united in marriage to Gayle Young of Holdrege, and they made their home in Holdrege where she resided until her death.
She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege.
Besides her husband, Gayle of Holdrege, she is survived by one son, Ivan Young and wife, Beverly, of Waverly; two grandsons, Kristopher and Kim Young, both of Waverly; one brother, Lloyd Schubert, Wilcox; one sister, Gladys DeJonge, Macon; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Nelson-Harris Funeral Home of Holdrege.
