JAYTON -- Sue Fowler Montgomery, 79, died Monday, June 7, 2004 in Georgetown. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2004 at the Jayton Cemetery directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Sue was born November 6, 1924 in Jayton to the late Thomas and Gertrude (Jenkins) Fowler. She graduated from Jayton High School in 1942 and attended North Texas Teachers College in Denton. She worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas and later married James B. Montgomery on October 11, 1947 in Jayton. Sue and Jim moved to Midland in 1971 where she worked at Grammer Murphey and Dillards department stores. She retired from Dillards in 1993. Sue was a member of the Crestview Baptist Church in Georgetown. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Molly and her parents.

Sue is survived by her husband, Jim Montgomery; three children, Mark, Jeb and his wife Christy, and Meg and her husband Bruce and their son Jared.

The family will receive visitors from 3-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.
