Jane died before William Webster and George William and other family members left for Dresden, Texas in 1869. Jane is buried in Meridian, MS. George William Brown CSA Sgt. later married Sarah Stokes in Mississippi before coming to Texas. William Webster and father George William Brown raised cotton and ran a cotton gin in Cryer Creek and possibly Cosicana, TX.
