Funeral services for Frank Zumwalt who died southwest of Deming, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Assembly of God Church, the Rev. James Trewern officiating. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary. Mr. Zumwalt past away Wednesday at a local hospital where he had been confined for five weeks. Born Aug. 30, 1878 in Kerr County TX. Mr.Zumwalt had lived here for 23 years. He came to Roswell with his parents when he was three years old, was married to Josie Ethel Bishop, March 20, 1904 and worked on various ranches in New Mexico. He ranched at Capitan for several years, moved to Mule Creek, ranched there until i945 when he moved to Deming for his health. Survivors include his wife, Josie Zumwalt, and three sons, Leonard Zumwalt, Delbert Zumwalt and Alvin Zumwalt, all of Deming, three daughters, Alice Latham, Deming, Elsie Cornwell Pico Rivera, Calif. and Lola Lawrence, T or C, 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren
