John Rusk, age 63 of LCO, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 with his family at his side.
John Verl Rusk was born on October 31, 1949 to John and Eunice (Mewhorter) Rusk in Hayward. He grew up and graduated from Hayward High School. After high school he worked in Milwaukee, then entered the US Army and served from July 1969 to February 1971. After the military he moved back to Milwaukee for several years before returning to Hayward. John attended LCO College and received his associated Degree in Masonry. He then worked for LCO Development as a laborer for over 30 years.
John is survived by daughter Reone Rusk; son Michael Rusk; step-children Clinton, Marilyn, Anthony, Vickie, Terence "Buzz", Pete, Ronee Lynn, Jason, Krysten, Erin and Jordan; grandchildren Tiffany, Natalie, Seth and Trevor; brothers Ronnie Rusk, Robin Rusk, and Richard Rusk; sisters Renee Rusk, Carole Wielgot, and Lori Warwick; Aunt Julia Elm, West Allis, WI; cousin Dick McClaine, Las Vegas, NV; cousins, nephews, nieces and great nephews and great nieces.
John is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Russell, Ken, Jerry, Rudy; sisters Alveretta and Wendy Lou; significant other Lucille Carley; nephew Derreck Paull, niece Nichole Rusk, great niece Johnna Rusk.
The Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward, WI with Rev. Marvin Wilber officiating and music by Liza Diamond. Burial will be in Whitefish Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2 beginning at 5:00 p.m.
Honorary casket bearers will be Brian Delapast, Ron Gokey, Jerome Isham, Dustin Price, Matt Wielgot, Todd Young, nephews and nieces.
Casket bearers will be Terrance "Buzz" Boswell, Chris McNabb, Clint Price, Chris Rusk, Rick Traver and Mike Woller.
