Mrs. Glennie Smysor

Services were held here Thursday in the Mulvane Church of Christ for Mrs. Glennie Smysor, 81, a long-time resident of Mulvane. She died Monday, Nov. 2, in a Wichita hospital. Interment was in Mulvane Cemetery.

Mrs. Smysor was the wife of George Smysor, former publisher of The Mulvane News, and retired Mulvane postmaster. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, she came to Mulvane in 1892, and resided on farms here until her marriage in 1913. She worked with her husband on newspapers in Norwich and Protection before their connection with The Mulvane News. She was a member of the Mulvane Garden Club, the Mulvane Golden Age Club, and of the Mulvane Church of Christ.

Besides her widower she is survived by a daughter, Mr. Beryl Powell, of Galena, Kans.; three sons, Francis G., of Lawrence, Kans., Raymond L., of Corpus Christi, Texas., and . . . ; three brothers, Cliff A. Howard, of Neal, Kans., Harry L. Howard, of Yates Center, Kans., and Cecil R. Howard, of Wichita; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
