Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA)

Bessie Mae Bollier Broussard, a homemaker,died Saturday of a heart attack at Lakeview Regional Hospital. She was 81. Mrs. Broussard was born in Terrell, Texas and lived in New Orleans for 18 years and Lafayette for 17 years before moving to Mandeville a year ago. She was a member of the New Acadians.
Survivors include her husband, Worley L. Broussard; two sons, Bobby G. Broussard of Terrytown and Ronnie L. Broussard of Lafayette; a daughter, Carolyn Broussard of Kalman; a brother, Ted Bollier of Payson, Ariz.; two sisters, Doris Wimberly of Arlington, Texas, and Louise Schlaefer of Texas; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette. Visitation will begin at noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.
